Rubybox - Jan 2015

Hi Everyone

I will be honest and say i was so put off by my November Rubybox [see my review HERE] that i was ready to cancel my subscription as off 2015. I left it for 1 month to see what i would receive [as a birthday present to myself] and that would be the deciding factor.

Well i was pleasantly surprised and relieved that it was a great month and great box from the Rubies. So for now i will stay subscribed.

Full Size – R 77.39

What They Say:   Micro fine crushed cocoa beans blended with nourishing Shea Butter and Vitamin E to gently exfoliate, remove dead skin cells and reveal smoother skin.

What I Say:   Not only does this product scrub but it also moisturizes leaving my skin feeling so soft

Full Size (100ml)- R 179.95

What They Say:   A repair and protect hair oil blend suitable for all ethnic hair types. Enriched with Pure Moroccan Argan Oil, Jamaican Black Castor Oil, Shea Oil this rich hair oil deeply hydrates and strengthens your hair to repair prevent further breakage. It is 100% natural and completely free of artificial ingredients such as mineral oil, preservatives, parabens, artificial fragrances, sulfates and animal ingredients. Apply small amount to scalp daily to stimulate hair growth. Great for restoration of the hairline. Add a couple of drops to hair masque or conditioner for a deep hair treatment.

What I Say:   I am always looking for nourishing hair oils as i have very curly hair that i am always straightening which causes dryness and damage. With this product, it puts all the natural oils back in my hair, strengthens it with breakages and gives it an amazing shine. Definitely a must!

5ml Value – R 74.95

What They Say:   This special formula gently softens overgrown cuticles, making it easier to remove them. It’s a quick and safe way to remove your cuticles before a manicure; making it easier to apply nail polish and-your manicure also lasts much longer! Apply around the clean contour of the nail, leave for a minute, then gently remove excess cuticle with a manicure stick wrapped in cotton wool.

What I Say:  This is a must for me, i am constantly painting my nails and my cuticles seem to grow so quickly. Using the Mavala Cuticle Remover takes a couple minutes and then i’m good to go to paint my nails whatever colour i choose. I find since using this product my cuticles take a little bit longer to grow back.

 Incanto Charms By Salvatore Ferragamo

Full Size (100ml) – R 849.95

What They Say:   An Eau de Toilette with key notes of tropical, fruity, white floral, sweet floral. A colourfully floral, fruity and sweet fragrance with a fantasy effect that evokes nostalgia of radiant and joyful moments. Inspired by deliciously tropical and fresh sweet passion fruit and honeysuckle; followed by Turkish rose and jasmine. As the fragrance dries down, it leaves a woody-musky trail.

What I Say:   I love this perfume. I like fruity and fresh smells. It smells like i’m suntanning on an exotic island. Such a beautiful perfume.

A flower poem of Bulgarian rose, freesia and lilac rules the with its spring floral harmony. The base rounds the composition with sensual amber, musk and warm woods. It’s highly wearable, elegant, romantic and suitable for many occasions!

What I Say:  Really florally fragrance. Nice smelling but not one of my favourites.
