Hi Everyone

LA Girl Glazed Lip Paint has reached our shores of SA. They are an amazing dupe for the Two Faced Melted and at a fraction of the price. The full range is 16 colours but i only saw 6 colours at Dis-Chem

♥ WHAT THEY SAY    Glazed Lip Paints give the intensely pigmented appearance of a lipstick, with the ease and glossy finish of a lipgloss. Glazed Collection includes 18 of the most sought-after, trendsetting colors this season while providing long lasting, hyper glossy, ultra rich color to lips. This proven iconic product offers shades that range from nudes to brights to deep berries. Cool and nourish your lips with the added benefits of vitamin E and peppermint oil. The Glazed Lip Collection is an instant must-have that accurately portrays the color trends expected to be seen on the runway. A precision tip applicator is provided to facilitate application.

  • Provides the shine of a lip gloss
  • Gives the intensely pigmented appearance of a liquid lipstick
  • Delivers rich color with staying power

A Dupe for Two Faced Melted in Melted Peony

♥ WHAT I SAY    I’ve had my eye on the Two Faced Melted for a while now but i couldn’t see myself spending R420 on a small tube of Lip Paint. So when i was in Dis-Chem and saw these were finally in South Africa and at a fraction of the price of the Two Faced for only R49.99 i grabbed up 3 colours. A fire engine red called Pin Up, a light pink called Babydoll and a bright pink called Bombshell

I applied the colour with my finger tip or a lip brush otherwise straight from the tube it can get messy, there’s just the little hole and the angled tip as an applicator, so it’s not ideal for precision.  I would change about this product is the application part, i brush prefer a brush or sponge like applicator (like Two Faced) to make things less messy, but overall a great product

It has a very subtle minty scent but does not linger very long. The texture is very smooth and comfortable to wear and it’s super color pigmented which stays on the lips for a few hours. What is also a bonus is that it doesn’t leave a stickiness on your lips.

I was disappointed not to see a nude colour (avail in the USA). All Dis-Chem had was Pinks, Reds, Oranges and Purples. I would love to get the colours Elude (pinkish nude), Tango (light coral – perfect for summer coming up), Whisper (creamy nude) , Flirt (light beautiful floral pink) and Peony (similar to Flirt just a bit brighter)

Another reason why i love LA Girl products is because they are Cruelty Free.
