Hi Everyone

I loved doing this post. My 5 favourite fragrances for 2015 comes from; YSL, the mysterious pink peppered and vanilla Black Opium, the Decadence of the new sexy Marc Jacobs python inspired handbag, the feminine yet strong Olympea, an old time favourite and repurchased Versace Yellow Diamond and lastly from the Queen of the Katy Cats Mad Potion.

♥ YSL – Black Opium – R 795.00 > R1395.00 – The new fragrance announced as a rock’n’roll interpretation of the classic that should highlight the dark, mysterious side of the YSL brand. Master perfumers Nathalie Lorson and Marie Salamagne, in collaboration with Olivier Cresp and Honorine Blanc, developed the composition. Notes of coffee, present in large quantities, dominate the scent. Additional accords are pink pepper, orange blossom, jasmine, vanilla, patchouli and cedar. The perfume comes in the bottle designed as the last editions of the Opium collection. The bottle is dark and decorated with sequins that give a glam rock look.

♥ Marc Jacobs – Decadence – Red Square – R 1230.00 > R1605.00 – Marc Jacobs presents Decadence, his first “mature” fragrance in 2015, its sexy and sophisticated. The top notes include Italian plum, saffron and iris. Bulgarian rose, Sambac jasmine and orris root form the heart of the perfume, while the base includes warm liquid amber, vetiver and papyrus wood. The bottle design, which is a “personal talisman” of the designer as a symbol of opulence and glamour, is reminiscent of an emerald green handbag with python pattern, gold chain and black tassel.

♥ Paco Rabanne – Olympea – Red Square + Edgars – R 720.00 > R 1285.00 – Olympéa represents the equivalent of the masculine edition Invictus from 2013, inspired by the athletic spirit, competition and victory.The concept is based on the idea of a modern Greek goddess and evokes strength, dynamism and conquests. The perfume is developed by Loc Dong and Anne Flipo. Its both salty and floral compositions is characterized as fresh oriental, opening with sparkling green mandarin, aquatic notes of water jasmine and fiery ginger lily, with salted vanilla in the heart. The base notes are sandalwood, cashmere and ambergris.The face of the perfume is Brazilian model Luma Grothe. The bottle is shaped like a laurel crown, designed by Marc Ange.

♥ Versace – Yellow Diamond – Dis-Chem + Clicks + Red Square + Edgars – R 720.00 > R 1305.00 –  Yellow Diamond is crafted as a pure, transparent and airy floral fragrance, sparkling and intense as the yellow color, while being luxurious and feminine like a diamond. Its composition opens with luminous freshness of lemon, bergamot, neroli and pear sorbet. The heart features airy orange blossom, freesia, mimosa and water lily. The base is made of amber, precious musk and guaiac wood.The bottle is shaped like the previous editions of the collection, colored in yellow, while its box is decorated with baroque ornaments.

♥ Katy Perry – Mad Potion – Clicks + Dis-Chem – R 450.00 > R 1200.00 – The new “pillar” of the Katy Perry fragrance collection in collaboration with Coty begins in 2015 with the release of Katy Perry’s Mad Potion. Mad Love fragrance is also announced as a part of this collection, coming out in the fall 2015. This sexy vanilla – musky composition opens with accords of vanilla orchid, peony and apple musk. The heart includes a mixture of Borbon vanilla, jasmine petals and delicate, soft musk, while the base captures oriental flavors of vanilla, amber and sexy musk.
