Hi Everyone

Hope you all having a great day and week so far. It is freezing in Cape Town the last few days, ok i might be a little dramatic as i HATE the cold, i can never seem to get warm enough no matter how many layers of clothing i have on or how many blankets i sleep under. I just want Summer to come back around again. Sunshine, the beach and even the humidity i would take right now.

WHAT THEY SAY   Sparkling Gems. Opulent jewellery, elaborate sequin embroidery and iridescent lurex materials crown the winter holiday season. The new designer collections are extremely glamorous with bejewelled and lavishly decorated clothing. A festive, feminine make-up look is the ideal match for the unique fashion highlights. The limited must-haves are matt or shimmering and greet us in elegant champagne-gold, warm brown and beige shades as well as contrasting apricot or red. Celebrate Good Times

♥ EYESHADOW PALETTE ♥

Jewel Case. Eight highly-pigmented powder eyeshadows are the treasures of this palette. The silky, smooth textures with a matt or shimmering finish are easy to apply and ideal for fine shading. The colours are perfectly aligned and offer a wide range of shades with soft champagne, warm brown tones and deep black for expressive eye make-up styles.

♥ C01 Blaze Of Glory

The packaging with this palette is gorgeous. Its a matte white with gold stars. The palette has 8 shades, a big mirror and a sponge eyeshadow applicator. There are 3 matte and 5 shimmer neutral shades ranging from warm browns, a gorgeous gold and an almost black dark brown. The pigmentation of the colours are a 50/50, some colours are highly pigmentated while others just fall flat. They look rich and creamy but instead are dry and chalky. It not a bad palette for the price tag.

The top row is more of a day look while the bottom colours can be used to create a smokey look for night.

♥ POWDER BLUSH ♥

IMG_2016

La belle de nuit. This blush with a golden glow ensures a radiant complexion. Applied on the highest point of the cheekbones, it accentuates and contours the face. The soft texture combines warm rosewood tones and champagne highlights. The unique star-relief structure turns the blush into the must-have of the season.

♥ C01 Caviar And Champagne

How gorgeous the embossed star design on the blush and highligher ? The colour is a uniqu rusty rose with champagne and gold shimmer. Its a stunning colour which i think you can wear all year around.

Golden Sparkle. A light shimmer in a soft champagne shade creates festive highlights on the face and neckline. Best applied with a powder brush, the pressed powder with a beautiful star embossment is ideal for setting gorgeous accents.

♥ C01 Golden Grace

This highligher is beautiful! It’s a bronzy champagne colour with a pearl effect and tiny speaks of glitter which gives the skin a glow. Its highly pigmented and it will suit all skin tones.

♥ PRECIOUS LIP COLOUR ♥

Lips to Love. Three limited colours and the unique packaging turn the Precious Lip Colour into a product to fall in love with. The three lipsticks in soft nude, fresh apricot and elegant red offer intensive colour and have a convincing light texture. A subtle shine on the lips is the perfect finish for this look – ideal for heading straight into the festive season.

♥ C01 Jewel Daze
♥ C02 Caviar And Champagne
♥ C03 Treasured Twinkles

I love the gold packaging, its so elegant!!!! These are very similar to the Ultimate Colour lipsticks in the quality, texture and pigmentation. They are creamy and light without drying out my lips. You need 2 coats for a good colour payoff. Its not highly pigmented and lasts 2-3 without eating and drinking.

IMG_2014

Jewel Daze is a unique colour in the sense that you can’t pin point the exact shade, its a mixture between a nude beige and apricot with a slight touch of coral. soft coral shade. “Caviar and Champagne” is a Peachy Coral shade and perfect for the summer & spring seasons. Treasured Twinkles is my favourite of the set, its a sultry red shade perfect for Autumn going into Winter.

♥ NAIL LACQUER ♥

IMG_2022

Joy to the World. The four Nail Lacquers offer a festive nail look in the colours of the Limited Edition: nude with a gold effect, light apricot, coral and dark red. All limited polishes have a glamorous pearl effect as well as an extraordinary packaging with a bottle-shaped golden lid.

♥ C01 Jewel Daze
♥ C02 Golden Grace
♥ C03 Caviar And Champagne
♥ C04 Treasured Twinkles

I love love love these nail polishes, probably my favourite nail polishes to appear in a Catrice collection. There are 4 colours in the range. They have great formula’s, they are smooth that i only needed to add 1 coat of colour with a top coat. A couple of the colours apply streaky but even out a bit with a top coat. With a base coat and top coat they colour lasted for 1 week before I saw chipping.

IMG_2027

Jewel Daze is a nude with a pink undertone with gold champagne shimmer. Golden Grace is a shimmering gold, Caviar & Champagne is a beautiful pearl apricot coral and Treasured Twinkles my favourite from the set, is a rich metallic red.

There was one item I didn’t get from the collection – the Gold Liquid Liner. Which i honestly have no use for.

Hope you enjoyed!

  1. I got the highlighter as a gift for somebody and she loves it! Otherwise I didn’t bother getting the eye shadow…swatched it in store and the quality for me was not wow 😦

Can I ask where one can get those nail polish swatch sticks? Just starting up a blog and every idea for swatching nail polish I have, just doesn’t work.
