❄ ESSIE ❄ Winter 2015 Collection {review}

Hi Everyone

Hope you all had a great weekend. I have been testing the new Essie “Virgin Snow” winter 2015 (usa) / 2016 (sa) for 2 weeks now and its my favourite of all the winter ranges.

essie winter 1

Shall We Chalet reminds me of Poinsettia’s. Its a deep ruby red creme jelly. Apply 2 thin coats for full opacity.

A dupe for Shall We Chalet is Essie Jump In My Jumpsuit and Essence Fateful Desire

Peak Show reminds me of snow covered mountains. Its a milky pastel pink. With this shade and consistency i had to apply 3 coats for full opacity.

A dupe for Peak Show is Essie Minimalistic and Essence Nail Candies in (06) Soda Pop and Candy Shop

Apres-Chic  reminds me of Christmas Tinsel. Its a shimmery chrome silver. With this shade you can get away with 1 thicker coat or 2 thin coats for full opacity. I thought this type of shade would be streaky but with a top coat it evens it out.

A dupe for Apres-Chic is Essie No Place Like Chrome and Essence Icy Princess

Haute Tub reminds me of a Starry Night. Its a creme jelly jet black with amethyst fine glitter sparkles. Apply  2 thin coats for full opacity. This colour disappointed me because with the bottle and amethyst glitter is so noticeable but once applied to the nails you can hardly notice it even in the sun.

There are no dupes for this colour

Virgin Snow reminds me of snow flakes. This shade is a “blue dress gold dress” conundrum. I have seen lots of people say this is a blue but all i see in the bottle and on the swatch stick/my nails is a stunning icy lavender shade. Maybe its the same situation as “mint candy apple” where there is a blue and green version. I applied 3 thin coats for full opacity.

I don’t think there is a proper dupe for Virgin Snow. Essie Lilacism is similar but its on the grey side and Essence Whisper of Spring

Altitude Attitude  reminds me of Santa Claus’s red suit. Its a creme jelly scarlet red with a pink undertone. I applied 2 thin coats for full opacity. This colour is very shiny and glossy even without a top coat.

A dupe for Altitude Attitude is Essie Watermelon and Essence 11 4 Ever Young
