💙 TRESemme 💙 Beauty-Full Volume Reverse System {Week 1}

Hi Everyone

Hope you all had a great weekend. I was recently sent the Beauty-Full Volume Reverse System by TRESemme to test out. I have now been using it for 1 week – used it twice ad this is my feedback so far.

What they say:

Volume seekers tired of being left with stiff, crunchy hair can rejoice thanks to this revolutionary reverse wash system! TRESemmé’s Beauty-Full Volume is rewriting the rules of voluminous hair by reversing the traditional haircare routine. Condition FIRST to soften hair, then shampoo to wash away weight. Your hair is left hair smooth and polished, but still full of bounce. Who says you can’t have it all?

Lets just get this out the way so we can get to the good part….

Mousse… I absolutely hate the Mousse. I have naturally and unfortunately thick and very curly hair. I’ve always been told that if i want to wear my hair naturally – no blow-drying or straightening – then i must use a mousse. I have tried several in the past but nothing really holds my curls and keep my hair from looking… bushy? So i was excited to see in the package TRESemme had included a mousse. I hated it from the minute it started “drying”. My hair looked and worst of all felt like dreadlocks. Maybe if i blow-dried my hair after i applied the mousse it might be different? But I still would not recommend it.

Ok, now to the good and great part… the Conditioner, Shampoo and leave in Hair Maximiser. With the reverse system you start off with the conditioner and then shampoo.

Conditioner…. its moisturizing but not overly thick like a lot of conditioners i have used in the past. I first applied it and while in the shower i combed through my hair. Left it on for 5 minutes to sit and then wash it out. It made my hair feel very soft but not oily and left no residue.

Shampoo…. wow, i love this shampoo! A lot of shampoo’s, especially ones that aren’t paraben or sulfate free tend to leave your hair squeaky clean, almost too clean if you know what i mean. But this shampoo is amazing, its so rich, creamy and lathers really well. You only need a little bit to cover your hair. Its probably the best shampoo i have used. Yes its not the best if you suffer from dandruff but other than that i would give it a 4.5 our of 5.

Hair Maximiser… i use a small amount to my damp hair before a blow-dry. I can’t say i notice a big difference in what it supposed to do – create volume. As i already have plenty volume naturally. I will say that my hair was less notty when brushing, but that might have been from the brushing when i had the conditioner on or the fantastic shampoo, But i will keep using it in conjunction with the other products.

Because of the reverse wash i feel my hair tends take longer to get oily. I can go a good 4/5 days if i wanted to without washing my hair, not even using a dry shampoo. While i’m testing this range i’m not using any other products or brands at all. I can’t say i can feel an immediate difference in my hair once blow-dried or straightened after only 2 uses besides the oily factor. But i will keep you posted with another 3 posts (weekly)
