Hi Everyone
When I found out my boss was coming down to SA (from the UK) i couldn’t wait to order a few items from Superdrug. This Makeup Revolution Iconic Pro 1 was one of the items on my must have list. I only found out afterwards that its a dupe for the Lorac Pro Eyeshadow Palette.
I’m not sure how many of you know of or own a Lorac eyeshadow palatte, they are great products but a price tag a little too steep for me ($44 / R 600) vs this palette for $ 12 / £6 / R 100-115.00
APPEARANCEÂ Â The eyeshadows are housed in a sleek black plastic palette with a matte top lid and shiny black bottom with hinges to open the palette. It has a large mirror and comes with a double ended eyeshadow brush – one end a flat brush and the other a rounded brush.
This eyeshadow palette comes with 16 Shades. The top row consists of 8 Matte shades and the bottom row has 8 Shimmer shades
TOP ROW         Ghost, Luna, Must, Enigma   (Matte)
BOTTOM ROW  Need, Dawn, Getter, Breathe (Shimmer)
GHOST – A pure white – I found it a bit chalky and takes using more product to build up the colour
LUNA – A creamy white – This was one of the colours i was disappointed in – it has poor pigmentation and colour pay off
MUST – A warm toned brown – It has medium pigmentation, builds well and blends well
ENIGMA– A Light baby pink – This has great colour pay off and pigmentation
NEED – A white nude – This has poor pigmentation, had to put many layers of colour on to see the colour clearly.
DAWN – A champagne – It takes a lot of the product build the colour
GETTER – A coppery gold – This is one of my favourites colours. It has medium pigmentation and is easy buildable
BREATHE – A light bronze – It also has medium colour pay off and pigmentation
TOP ROW         Fade, Drama, Afflicted, Pitch           (Matte)
BOTTOM ROW  Too Grey, Stage, Addicted, Player   (Shimmer)
FADE – A mauvy taupe -This colour has medium pigmentation and good colour pay off
DRAMA – A neutral brown – Its a chalky colour that has medium colour pay off but its blends well
AFFLICTED – A dark brown – This colour is highly pigmented and a little hard to work with blending wise – a little goes a long way
PITCH – A black – Its a satin finish black with heavy pigmentation and colour pay off – also a difficult colour to blend – but also great for a smokey eye
TOO GREY – A silver grey taupe – A great colour with amazing colour pay off and blends really well
STAGE – A coppery rusty red – This colour is one of my favourite colours. A highly pigmented colour that blends well and great pay off
ADDICTED – A deep plum – A great colour for a smokey eye, it has full pigmentation, blends well and has great colour pay off
PLAYER – A dark gunmetal grey –Â Another colour that checks the boxes when it comes to pigmentation and colour pay off.
Overall i love this eyeshadow palette. I’m not a great fan of matte shades, i always tend to lean toward shimmer shades. For the price, i would highly recommend this eyeshadow palette
Its available at Superdrug stores as well as online at Tam Beauty (UK) and Ulta (US)
