πŸ’— Pink Cosmetics πŸ’— Solid Brush & Sponge Cleaner

Hi Everyone

Hope you all having a great Monday. Wow, it feels like forever ago that i blogged, but it think its been about 2 weeks. Life just seems to get in the way, its so difficult to find the time to blog when i work weekdays, weekends as well as public holidays, but i love it so much as its an outlet for me.

I am so excited to do this blog post, its been a while coming. I swear by this product and since using it, i haven’t looked back nor will i ever use another.

First of all, Pink Cosmetics…. Janet started Pink Cosmetics to bring natural, free of any harmful ingredients and quality bath, body, skin and hair products all with an affordable price tag, into our lives. As well as creating their own ranges of products, she also sources international brands, so we don’t have to, like: Makeup Revolution (you know is one of my favourites), I Heart Makeup (family of Makeup Revolution), Anastasia Beverly Hills, Kylie Cosmetics, Morphe, Lorac and many more.

You can view all the products HERE and place your orders. All Popcorn and Pearls followers get a 5% discount when using the code: popcorn

Ok so back to the reason we are here….. the Solid brush and sponge cleaner

At first i was like “how am i going to use this”, i was so used to using a baby shampoo that i would squeeze out the product into my hand or on the brushegg and then clean my brushes. I would have to do this 4/5 times before my brushes or sponge was near clean and sometimes the lid would break on the bottles, and it would just irritate me.

So this unconventional tub is actually the best thing ever invented. I put a little water in the tub, and swirled my brush or sponge in the water and product. Once i felt it had enough of the product, on the side i had a tub of clean water (water saving in Cape Town) and then wash/rinse the brush or sponge in there. I am being dead honest when saying that i only had to do that once maybe twice if i had been lazy and not cleaned by sponge for a few days for my sponge to be clean, more clean that i’ve ever got any of my application tools. No foundation mark left on my sponge at all!!!

Side Story:  The other night i was cleaning my Cala makeup sponge for the next morning, it was so efficient and satisfying that i ended up cleaning all 6 as well as a few brushes, i just couldn’t stop.

Ok,so now more about what is inside this amazing tub of magic. Its enriched with castor seed oil, cocoa seed butter, coconut oil and olive oil which aids in the breakdown of the foundation while keeping your brushes well looked and the bristles soft. The cleaner is free of any sulphates, parabens, phthalates, petroleum and keeps your brushes/sponges germ free

There are various types and scents

  1. Pink Peonie -with a Fuchsia Pink Flower
  2. Lemongrass Mint – with a Mint Leaf
  3. Pastel Goth Lilac Ice Cream – with a Dark Purple Black Rose
  4. Unicorn Dreams – with a Pink / Purple unicorn head
  5. Mermaid’s Kiss – with a Pink / Purple / Blue mermaid

They all sell for R 150.00 for a 100g tub
