Hope you are all great. Being back at work after being off for so long (almost 3 weeks) is terrible lol. Still trying to get back into the swing of things but I’m feeling very demotivated, hopefully that changes soon. I can’t even say I’m looking forward to the weekend as i’m pulling a double shift (0600-2130) on both Saturday and Sunday
Anyway enough about complaining about work (we all have to pay the bills lol) today i want to share with you one of my favourite set of makeup brushes. I bought these brushes ages ago from Best Beauty Buys SA and realised the other day that i had never done a post about them.
In the set i received 5 what i would call Big Brushes which are used as “Face” brushes. From left to right…
💗 The 1st Brush i use as a Powder Brush, I use this brush to apply my loose powder (my favourite being the Yardley Absolute Transparent) to set my foundation.
💗 The 2nd Brush i use as a Foundation Brush much like the Real Techniques Buffing/Expert Face Brush to apply my liquid Foundation (my favourite at the moment is the L’Oreal Infallible Stay Fresh 24H Foundation)
💗 The 3rd Brush is an Angled Brush that I use as a Contour Brush that I pair with my current go to Contouring Palette, the Catrice Prime & Fine Contouring Palette.
💗 The 4th Brush is an Angled Brush that i use for my Blush or Bronzer. My go to Blush is the Milani Rose Powder Blush and the Bronzer is the Palladio Baked Bronzer
💗 The 5th Brush is the Fan Brush which is use as my Highlight Brush. I pair it with my all time favourite Highlighter, the Catrice High Glow Mineral Highlighting Powder
In also received 7 smaller Brushes which are used as “Eye” , “Brow” and “Face” Brushes. From left to right…
💗 The 1st Brush I use as a Eyeshadow Brush, its bigger head is perfect for Blending out Eyeshadow.
💗 The 2nd Brush is an Angled Brush I use to apply Eyeshadow in my Crease, as well as blending out Eyeshadow, especially when creating a smokey eye.
💗 The 3rd Brush I use as a Medium Eyeshadow Brush to apply a base colour to your lids
💗 The 4th Brush can be used as a multi-Brush, either as a bigger concealer brush for blending concealer under the eye area, around the nose etc or as a Cream Eyeshadow Brush
💗 The 5th Brush is Tapered Brush I used to apply to also apply Eyeshadow to the crease my of my Lid to create dimension
💗 The 6th Brush I use as a Concealer Brush to blend concealer under the eye area, around the nose and any scars or pigmentation I need to cover
💗 The 7th Brush and final Brush is a sloped brush that has two uses, 1st as a sloped eyeliner brush to apply liquid or gel eyeliner (in the pot) or 2nd to shape and define brows when used with a gel brow colour (in the pot as well) – my favourite at the moment being the Essence Eyebrow Colour & Shape Brow
The bristles are super soft and so easy to clean – i use the Pink Cosmetics Solid Brush and Sponge cleaner to clean all my brushes and beautyblenders, which is the best I’ve ever used.
Best Beauty Buys SA don’t currently have the 12 piece set for sale, but they do have a 7 piece (4 big and 3 small) and a 10 piece (5 big and 5 small) available for R 195.00 HERE along with many other designs and colours
