Hope you all had a great week so far. Today i’m sharing my views on the L’Oreal True Match Foundation.

I’ve heard many mixed reviews on this foundation. I guess it also depends on the type of skin you have, what primer or moisturizer you use to prep your skin before using a foundation or what powder you use to set your foundation. I had high hopes for this foundation as you know from previous posts i’m so inlove with its sister foundation, the Infallible 24H Stay Fresh Foundation, its my number 1 foundation at the moment. Which i guess is a bit unfair to the True Match foundation lol.

I use the shade 2N Vanilla. Its the perfect shade for my skin tone and doesn’t oxidise at all. The True Match Foundation is a lightweight foundation that can be used for Light Coverage to Medium Coverage, i’m not 100% convinced its full coverage compared to its sister foundation but its coverage is still amazing.

The actual liquid product is very use and blends so easily, whether you are using your fingers, a makeup brush like the Real Techniques buffing brush or a beautyblender. I prefer dotting it on my face with my fingers and then using my Cala Beauty Sponge to set the foundation on my skin.

The finish is amazing – its not a matte foundation, more along the lines of a satin finish and sets so smooth on your skin, i use my holy grail Yardley Absolute Translucent loose powder to set my foundation. My foundation can last a good 16 hours – I’ve tested this when doing a double shift at work.

I have a very oily skin. So to me its all about prepping your skin first to make your foundation last for you through your busy day. I use a matte moisturizer, apply the foundation and set it with a loose powder. It all about finding what works for you. And this foundation is one if those things.
