Hope you having a great hump day so far. Today I’m sharing new items from my Makeup Bag. They are all brand new and products I’ve never used before.
Essence Insta Perfect Liquid Makeup
ABOUT: The make-up in a practical drop-packaging ensures a matte and flawless complexion. The liquid texture is waterproof and the coverage is buildable drop-by-drop. Nine different shades can be mixed and matched to create the perfect colour for all skin types and are sure to make all girls #instaperfect.
MINI REVIEW: I have always been a fan of Essence Cosmetics, so when I heard they were releasing a new liquid foundation that promised to be matte, long lasting and buildable for a full coverage look I was sold. I love the cute small bottle of this foundation but don’t let that fool you, This baby packs a punch as a little goes a long way, there is plenty product to work with. Lets talk formula, because its a “watery” foundation i had it to my skin with my fingers and then blend with a damp makeup sponge to limit streaks for a smooth finish. I set it with a loose powder and it lasts a good 8-10 hours.
Available from Dis-Chem, Clicks and Foschini for R92.95 to R99.95
Dewy-Ful Lips Conditioning Lip Butter
ABOUT: Dewy Lips. The Dewy-ful Lips Conditioning Lip Butter brings nourishment and shine to the lips. Selected ingredients such as Shea butter provide the lips with lasting care. The smooth texture visibly plumps the lips, discreetly colours them and leaves behind a shiny wet look finish.
MINI REVIEW: I love a good lippie and Catrice doesn’t disappoint when it comes to the Dewy-ful Lip butter. These aren’t supposed to be stand out colours, what they are, is a natural glossy shine that nourishes your lips with a touch of colour. Its not a sticky gloss which is a huge bonus. I bought 2 colours, (20) Let’s Dew This – a nudey pink with a corally undertone which is beautiful shade as well as (30) Dr DewLittle – which is a stunning raspberry red perfect for a pop of colour
Available from Dis-Chem & Takealot for R80.00
Makeup Revolution Duo Brow Pencil
ABOUT: Colour and fill your brows using the precision tip pencil and then use the definition brush to blend and tame the strays for perfectly defined brows.
MINI REVIEW:If there is one part of my face/makeup that is a must for me, it’s my brows…. even if I don’t wear any foundation on that particular day I make sure my brows are done. My go to has always been a mini looking mascara brush to fill and define my brows and maybe a pomade but never a pencil, until I found this baby. This brow pencil became an instant favourite of mine from the get go. I love the shape of the pencil side, the actual pencil formula is pushed through a triangle-like shape and has a brush at the other end to blend the colour for a natural look. I bought the shade Medium Brown
Available from Clicks (SA) for R79.95 and Revolution Beauty & Superdrug (UK) for £3.00
Essence Lash Princess False Lash Effect Mascara
ABOUT: Lash Princess False Lash Effect Mascara – Royal Sister! There’s a fabulous addition to the family of lash princess mascaras in black. the special, conic shape of the fiber brush provides lashes with length and dramatic volume as well as a false-lash effect. and just like her sister, the packaging of the drama queen is decorated with a gorgeous evening dress – this time in black-mint. princess(ence) deluxe!
MINI REVIEW: I have always been a BIG fan of Essence Mascara’s for as long as I can remember. I’ve been using the Lash Princess Volume Mascara for a couple years now and it was always one of my favourites. So I’m going to keep buying new bottles – let’s hope it never gets discontinued. I have never had my lashes professionally done, no lifts, no falsies, just me and my natural lashes. One day I had forgotten to apply Mascara. I was in Clicks and went to buy a mascara as I felt completely naked not wearing any. I went straight for the Volume one but I saw her sister next to her – the Lash Princess False Lash Effect Mascara, went over to a mirror and applied it on the spot and was I blown away. She has now become my number one Mascara. She gives the same amount of length, maybe a little more and definitely a lot more volume without the clumpiness. When I’ve worn the Volume Mascara, I’ve had a few people ask me if I’m wearing false lashes
It sells for R69.95 at Clicks, Dis-Chem and Foschini Stores as well as online at Takealot
